MOOD Project In West Lothian
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the MOOD Project, which is a mental health voluntary group operating from Polbeth Community Hub and Stoneyburn Community Centre, on receiving grants of £7,000 from the West Lothian Third Sector Hardship Fund and £2,000 from the Corra Foundation Community Wellbeing Fund; applauds the efforts of Lorraine Jarvie, its Volunteer Co-ordinator, for her success in getting this funding; notes that the grants will be used to provide additional support and assistance to some of the most vulnerable adults with mental health issues, other health issues and are experiencing difficulties with isolation, welcomes the expansion of MOOD’s developed programme in offering a greater choice of activities, increased telephone support to current and new clients, and wishes all of its volunteers every success for the future.
