Community Spirit in Stirling
The motion
That the Parliament commends Dunblane Cricket Club, Riverside Football Club, 15th and 10th Stirling Guides, Forth Valley Twins and Multiples Group, Tea's Company, The Dunblane Fling, 11th BofA Scout Group, Stirling Water Polo Club, Stirling and District Schools Pipe Band, Stirling Arthritis Group, Stirling Triathlon Club and Bridge of Allan Stroke Group for their selfless action in returning grant money to the Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table; understand that this action means that the Round Table now has a coronavirus emergency fund that can be given to charities and organisations in need of financing due to the pandemic; believes this to epitomise the strong community spirit shown across Scotland during this national crisis; recognises Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table’s history of donating to and supporting local and national charitable organisations; notes the hard work and dedication of many charitable organisations during the pandemic, and thanks them for their continued commitment to communities.
