Victoria Road School Regeneration Project
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes that the Victoria Road School regeneration project, involving the Grampian Housing Association and the Torry Development Trust, has received planning permission; notes that the original school building was built in 1878 and has a storied history in Aberdeen, including it surviving a Luftwaffe bombing in 1940; understands that the plans for the site include the development of affordable housing, a community nursery, multipurpose community space for use by local groups, and accessible outdoor space; believes that this project will revitalise a historic building and meet the needs of the local community, and hopes that the project will continue to progress as soon as possible.
