Over £10,000 Raised for Grampian Woman’s Aid
The motion
That the Parliament applauds the incredible fundraising efforts of the Indie Relief Raffle; acknowledges that a final amount of £10,272 was raised for Northfield-based Grampian Woman’s Aid; notes that four designers joined forces to compile prizes for the raffle from 61 independent businesses throughout Aberdeen City and Shire; believes that the money raised will make an enormous difference to the women, children and young people that the charity supports; understands that the organisation is adapting some of the support that it offers in response to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions so that it is available by phone, text, email and online, and commends the team involved with this fundraising drive and all who participated
