Edinburgh Airport Campaign to Reassure Customers
The motion
That the Parliament supports the Edinburgh Airport campaign, let’s all flysafe, which aims to provide confidence and reassurance to people travelling through and working at the airport; welcomes the measures the airport has introduced alongside the campaign, which include one-way colour-coded systems, hand-sanitising stations installed inside and outside the building, protective screens installed at check-in, security and arrivals, a trial of temperature checking technology for departing passengers, staff wearing face coverings and PPE in passenger-facing areas, enhanced cleaning schedules, new fogging machines to disinfect trolleys and wheelchairs, deep cleaning of security trays, new anti-viral trays and e-learning COVID-19 modules for all staff; acknowledges how important these measures are in reducing anxiety at the airport, and welcomes the efforts of its staff and passengers in working together to protect each other and "flysafe".
