Asda Stores Donate Meals to Good Causes in Central Scotland

That the Parliament congratulates Asda stores in the Central Scotland region on donating 12,641 meals to local communities during the COVID-19 crisis; notes that, through Asda’s Fight Hunger Create Change campaign, over £20 million is being invested over three years to support FareShare and the Trussell Trust in tackling poverty; understands that the donated meals were provided to local community groups and good causes, which benefited from fresh, in-date and good quality food; and agrees that more action must be taken to ensure that everyone in Scotland can enjoy the right to food.
