Philip Long OBE FRSE
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Philip Long OBE FRSE, Founding Director of V&A Dundee, as he leaves his role to become the Chief Executive of the National Trust for Scotland; recognises Philip's dedication and hard work over the last nine years in bringing the remarkable V&A Dundee project to fruition, which is the first V&A museum in the world outside of London; applauds his contribution in helping to bring over one million visitors to visit the V&A Dundee, supporting the city’s tourist industry and its local economy; believes that the V&A Dundee will have a lasting legacy in attracting more visitors to Dundee as a leading cultural centre in Scotland, and wishes Philip every success in his new role.
