Crown Estate Scotland Buys Zero Four Development Site
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the purchase of the 123-acre Zero Four commercial development site near Montrose by Crown Estate Scotland; understands that the site, previously an RAF training airfield, has the potential to be used to support the development of sectors such as offshore wind and renewables, as well as retail and hospitality; notes that this £3.7 million spend is part of £70 million promised by Crown Estate Scotland to support coastal community regeneration; believes that this development will complement local industries such as the Montrose Port in contributing to the economic recovery in Montrose and the wider Angus area, and looks forward to the project progressing in the months ahead.
