Young People Respond to Midlothian Consultation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Midlothian Youth Platform and local Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament on achieving over 400 responses from young people across Midlothian to their "Lockdown Lowdown" consultation; believes that this is a useful and topical piece of work, which highlights issues affecting young people during the lockdown, covering seven categories, including employment, education, mental health, family and money; recognises the importance of listening to the voices of young people and believes that it is especially crucial that they are listened to during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the many changes that this will bring to their lives, and gives a special thanks to Kari Calder, the Chair of Midlothian Youth Platform, and Blaine Ferguson, MSYP for Midlothian North and Musselburgh, for their work in delivering this consultation.
