Outdoor Learning at West Lothian College
The motion
That the Parliament commends West Lothian College for extending its outdoor learning facilities to mitigate against the spread of COVID-19, and enhance the learning experience and the mental health and wellbeing of students; recognises the success of the college’s forest classroom that was established in 2019, which enabled outdoor learning to be integrated into all early years' and childcare courses, and where students worked with hundreds of nursery and primary pupils over the year, and welcomes the installation in the campus courtyard of two new large covered outdoor learning spaces that can accommodate flexible seating arrangements to support a variety of learning experiences.
