Kirkintilloch Rotary Club Receives Award

That the Parliament congratulates members of Kirkintilloch Rotary Club on it being awarded Club of the Year in the Rotary International’s West of Scotland Awards 2020; acknowledges that the club was also awarded President of the Year, Secretary of the Year and Assistant Governor of the Year, in addition to qualifying for the prestigious Rotary International Presidential Citation; understands that, since the start of COVID-19 restrictions, members have been holding their meetings remotely, have maintained high turnout and gained 10 new members; notes that the members have donated thousands of pounds to support the G66 Covid Response Team; understands that, prior to the pandemic, members held multiple events in partnership with Rotary Clubs across East Dunbartonshire and Oban to fund 30,000 polio immunisations for children around the world, and commends the members on their tremendous generosity and efforts to help their community and beyond, and for this well-deserved recognition.
