Paws for Thought
The motion
That the Parliament marks the retirement of Diesel, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s first search and rescue dog, who is hanging up his boots after 55 dog years of service; notes that, from his base in Portlethen Aberdeenshire, Diesel has responded more than 300 times to protect communities in Scotland and abroad, including being deployed to Nepal after the devastating 2015 earthquake, and thanks Diesel and all those in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for their dedication and commitment to being there when needed.
