Jimmy Dick, the New President of the Royal Northern Agricultural Society

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jimmy Dick, who is from Northton Farm, Echt, on his appointment as the President of the Royal Northern Agricultural Society for 2020-21; recognises that Jimmy has been a director of the society for six years and is well-known across the Aberdeenshire community since starting his successful landscape maintenance business, Grass Guzzlers, 30 years ago; understands that the Society was founded in 1843 by farmers and landowners across the north east with the aim of improving agricultural production and the rural economy, and wishes Jimmy all the best, including with his new role.
