Michelle Dodds, Charity Half Marathon
The motion
That the Parliament commends Michelle Dodds, who is from Peebles, for organising a half marathon in the town to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support; understands that Michelle was due to run in the Edinburgh half marathon but, when the race was cancelled due to the pandemic, she decided to run the same distance in Peebles with her friend, Myles Langley; notes that Michelle is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of a friend who died in 2019, and to thank the charity for the support that it gave her when her mother was diagnosed with cancer earlier in 2020; thanks Michelle for raising nearly £1,000 so far, and wishes her all the best for the run.
