St John's Hospital Mother and Baby Unit, Safe, Secure and Certified
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the team at the Mother and Baby Unit at St John's Hospital in Livingston who have received recognition for their outstanding hard work by gaining accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatry (RCP) perinatal quality network; understands that over 300 standards, as set out by the RCP, were met by the team, which assures patients of the excellent service being provided to mothers and babies in their care; acknowledges that the service enables new mums to receive the care and treatment they require for their mental wellbeing, while growing in confidence as a mum during the pre- and post-natal period, from an excellent team who have the same values and dedication and who are continually developing as excellent practitioners to promote the highest level of care, and wishes the team every success during their accreditation period up until September 2022.
