Launch of Unite to Prevent Suicide
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the launch by the National Suicide Prevention Leadership Group of the initiative, Unite to Prevent Suicide, on 10 September 2020, which is World Suicide Prevention Day; applauds its aim of suicide prevention by making Scotland the most supportive country in the world; notes with regret that NHS Highland has the highest incidence of suicide among the mainland NHS boards, and hopes that the suicide prevention packs that will be distributed as part of the scheme will help to save lives in the Highlands and throughout Scotland.
