Unacceptable Waiting Times for Mental Health Consultations in NHS Lothian
The motion
That the Parliament notes with alarm the waiting times for mental health consultations in NHS Lothian; understands that six out of ten young people are waiting over 18 weeks for a mental health consultation from NHS Lothian, a 10% increase between May and June 2020; further understands that as of June, there were 2,482 young people waiting to be seen in Edinburgh and the Lothians, with 472 waiting for over a year which represents 19% of the total, and believes that this must be addressed urgently.
