Robert Gordon Named Scottish University of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that Robert Gordon University (RGU) has been named Scottish University of the Year in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021; understands that the Aberdeen-based university rose 17 places in the overall ranking of UK universities, as well as placing equal 8th for satisfaction with the student experience and 12th in terms of teaching quality; notes that RGU has taken significant steps to improve graduate employability, as well as being one of Scotland’s largest providers of graduate apprenticeships, and that the Clinical Skills Centre has recently undergone a £750,000 upgrade; acknowledges that, each year, The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide provides an analysis and ranking of 135 universities across the UK, and commends all the staff and students at RGU for being named Scottish University of the Year.
