National Work Life Week 2020
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges National Work Life Week 2020, which runs from 12 to 16 October; understands that the week is an opportunity for both employers and employees to focus on wellbeing at work and work-life balance; notes that the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's Working Life Scotland report, which was published in June 2020, found that 30% of employees feel that their work impacts negatively on their mental health; understands that the report also found that those employees who work flexibly are more likely to be enthusiastic about their job, more satisfied with their job and more satisfied with their life, and encourages organisations to take part in National Work Life Week by providing activities for staff and exploring flexible working options beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
