Growing Support for Assisted Dying
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Dying with Dignity Bill 2020 has moved to its committee stage in the Irish Parliament; encourages more people to engage with the issues related to the reasons for calls for a change in the law regarding assisted dying, and understands that a recent survey by the British Medical Association (BMA) has found that half of doctors want a change in the law and that more than half support a positive or neutral stance for the BMA.
