The Work of Carers of West Lothian During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The motion
That the Parliament commends Carers of West Lothian for the work that it has done since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that the voluntary organisation provides support to unpaid carers in West Lothian; understands that it has continued to run its regular support and social groups for carers, young carers and disabled people via Zoom, which has helped to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve mental wellbeing during this time of social isolation, and believes that this is an excellent initiative to continue providing support to unpaid carers and disabled people during this difficult time.
