Tribute to the Stirling Charity, Support for Families
The motion
That the Parliament commends the important work carried out by the third sector to enable communities to lead happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives; recognises the activities of Support for Families in providing a safe and welcoming environment for individuals and families to seek and receive support; welcomes its award of £9,977 from the National Lottery Community Fund to enable a range of structured play activities for children who live with kinship carers due to a family member’s substance misuse, and considers that such services are lifelines to communities and help in encouraging engagement in school, reducing isolation and encouraging positive life choices.
