Aberdeen International Airport Food Waste Scheme Helps 1,200 Vulnerable Residents
The motion
That the Parliament commends Aberdeen International Airport for helping to feed more than 1,200 vulnerable people by donating unwanted food from its eateries and shops to the local charity, Aberdeen Cyrenians, which helps the homeless through providing information, support and advice; understands that the weekly donations were set up in August 2020 by the airport’s sustainability management group to provide items for food parcels and wellbeing packs, in addition to improving the various sustainability schemes at the airport, and wishes everyone involved in the partnership well as they continue this vital service.
