Raymond Besant Commended by the UK Photographer of the Year Competition

That the Parliament congratulates Raymond Besant, who is from from Orkney, on being awarded with a commended place at the 13th UK Landscape Photographer of the Year competition for his picture of Yesnaby cliffs; understands that the competition was founded by the country’s leading landscape photographer, Charlie Waite, to showcase the best images taken by amateur and professional photographers across the UK; recognises that Raymond’s image of the cliffs, Yesnaby Tree Wave, has been commended in the black and white category of the competition, which recognises the best urban and suburban landscapes, coastal shots and images of the countryside; acknowledges that Raymond’s image will also feature in an exhibition of shortlisted and winning entries at London Bridge station from 16 November t2020 o12th February;2021 congratulates Raymond on receiving this very prestigious award and national recognition, which is testament to the hard work and dedication that he applies to his craft, and wishes him all the best with his continued efforts to capture exceptional images from across Orkney and his other endeavours.
