North Berwick Rotary Club Crocus Planting
The motion
That the Parliament commends members of the North Berwick Rotary Club for planting 8,000 crocus bulbs to highlight its drive to eradicate polio; understands that the bulbs have been planted to bloom in spring in order to recognise the club’s project to end polio in the remaining two countries where it is endemic; notes that the Rotary Club was a founding member of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which has seen global polio cases fall by 99.9% in the last 35 years; thanks the North Berwick Rotary Club for its hard work in raising awareness of this project, and wishes its members all the best for the future.
