Meg Maitland's Channel Relay Swim
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Meg Maitland, who is from North Berwick, on completing a relay swim of the English Channel; understands that Meg was part of a team of six called the Kangaroo Relay Team, who swam 35 miles from Dover to the French coast; notes that each team member swam for an hour at a time before swapping over until reaching France; commends Meg for raising over £4,000 for the spinal injury charity, Aspire, and wishes her all the best for her future swims.
