World AIDS Day 2020
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 1 December 2020 is World AIDS Day; welcomes the opportunity that this provides for people across the world to unite against HIV; believes that it offers an important opportunity to commemorate all who have died from an AIDS-related illness; acknowledges the relevance of this awareness day in the UK, where over 103,800 people are living with HIV; recognises the need to increase awareness, respond to prejudice and improve education regarding AIDS related-illnesses, and stands with everyone living with HIV.
