Making Scotland Equally Safe: Marking the Annual International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

As an amendment to motion S5M-23481 in the name of Shirley-Anne Somerville (Making Scotland Equally Safe: Marking the Annual International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women), after "still access support" insert "; notes the important work of women’s refuges, which continued to help women during lockdown; understands that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, two-thirds of women in abusive relationships have suffered more violence, 7.6% more than in the previous 12 months, and that, tragically, nine women were killed by abusive partners in 2019".
