West Lothian College Staff Recognised at National Awards

That the Parliament congratulates West Lothian College employees, lecturer, Marion Darling, and employer engagement officer, Elaine Campbell, on being recognised in the Colleague of the Year category at the recent College Development Network’s College Awards ceremony; understands that Marion received a Highly Commended Award for her outstanding work on positive mental health and wellbeing for students and staff, as well as her tremendous efforts in sourcing and distributing PPE to frontline workers during lockdown; notes that Elaine received a Commended Award for creating and sustaining excellent relationships with employers to provide West Lothian College students with rich industry experiences and work placements that enhance their learning, and acknowledges that West Lothian College had two of the three finalists in this award category that recognised outstanding staff.
