North Glasgow Organisations Receive Substantial Funding Boost
The motion
That the Parliament commends the funding boost of £100,000 awarded by Barclays to ng homes to recognise its pivotal work and partnership approach in helping low-income families, older people and the wider community within the north of Glasgow, including in the Maryhill and Springburn constituency; understands that the funding is supporting local community hubs, organisations and BAME groups such as Glasgow Afghan United and African Challenge Scotland; recognises the exemplary work undertaken by these organisations; understands that the funds will be used to support the costs of distributing food, hot food for those shielding and basic household items for people in isolation and deemed to be living in "extreme hardship", and welcomes the significant contribution that ng homes and partner organisations have made throughout the pandemic in helping those in need.
