Linda Sinclair raises vital funds for the RNLI
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Linda Sinclair, from Orkney, on raising over £1,900 for the RNLI by walking the equivalent distance of Lands' End to John o’ Groats; understands that Linda, who is a member of the lifeboat guild, walked and ran a total of 874 miles over four months on the island of Sanday to raise vital funds for the RNLI since they have been unable to do any fundraising activities due to the pandemic; recognises that Linda completed her first half-marathon with her friend, Tina Brown, and walked the full length of Sanday on two occasions as part of the challenge; thanks everyone who generously donated to Linda’s fundraising challenge as well as her close friends, Kath Towrie, Jo Jones and Tina Brown who kept her company throughout; commends Linda for her outstanding efforts in support of the fantastic work of the RNLI, and wishes her all the best as she now embarks on her next target of adding more miles to Team North and Midland’s total in the Doddie Aid challenge, raising money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
