Death Rates Among Homeless People
The motion
That the Parliament notes that the latest publication of statistics from the National Records of Scotland, which suggests that the death rate of homeless people is three times higher in Scotland than in England; understands that the draft budget proposes a reduction of over £100 million to the budget for building new social housing, and notes concerns regarding this decision given the challenges facing homeless people and what it sees as Scotland’s homelessness crisis.
