Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2021
The motion
That the Parliament notes that 1 to 5 March 2021 is Scottish Apprenticeship Week, the annual campaign co-ordinated by Skills Development Scotland; understands that this year’s theme is Business Backing Talent, which aims to showcase the great things that happen when employers back talent through apprenticeships and to share the value apprenticeships can bring to individuals, employers and the economy; notes the additional support for employers and individuals which has been put in place as part of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support apprenticeships, and encourages Members to get involved in the week and to attend the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards on 4 March 2021, which will recognise the resilience and hard work of foundation, modern and graduate apprentices and shine a spotlight on those employers, providers and individuals who champion apprenticeships.
