Tim Dean Publishes The Orkney Pocket Book of the Scottish Primrose

That the Parliament congratulates Tim Dean, who is from Orkney, on the publication of his latest book, The Orkney Pocket Book of the Scottish Primrose, otherwise known as the Primula Scotica; understands that the book will provide useful information on when and where to look for this rare species of flower, which is an iconic feature of the landscape and natural heritage in the north of Scotland, most notably in Orkney; recognises that the Primula Scotica faces many challenges for its survival, including the threat of climate change, but with the correct management and habitat can thrive, and commends Tim for his work to produce this guide, which will hopefully help to raise awareness of the species and the need to protect it.
