North East Sensory Services Receives £90,000 Trust Fund Award to Secure Employment for Blind and Deaf People
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates North East Sensory Services (NESS) on receiving £18,000 over the next five years from the Robertson Trust to support what it sees as its sector-leading work in helping blind and deaf people find work, education and training opportunities and supporting people recently diagnosed with a sensory impairment to stay in employment; recognises that NESS, which was founded in 1879, currently supports around 6,500 people each year across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee and Moray, thanks to all the team at NESS for their hard work and dedication, and commends their efforts to break down barriers for people living with sensory loss.
