Maggie’s Aberdeen Together We Walk Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament commends Maggie’s in Aberdeen for its hard work and resilience in supporting thousands of cancer patients and their families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by providing information, stress-reducing strategies, psychological support and opportunities to meet others in similar situations; notes the creation of the “Together We Walk” campaign, which will ask participants to complete a 5k walking challenge over 12 and 13 June as a way of bringing people together to celebrate and reflect, in addition to raising funds for the charity’s vital work, and wishes all of the team at Maggie’s well for the future and all participants good luck for the challenge.
