Lyle Gateway Receives £10,000 Lottery Grant
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the £10,000 grant for Lyle Gateway from the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland; understands that the funding will enable the church-led group to recruit a garden officer to help convert its outdoor space into a community garden; recognises that the church also hosts a community café and that the group hopes that the addition of a small plot for people to attend to will help to improve people’s mental and physical health; appreciates that the initiative will also help tackle social isolation, which has worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic, and wishes the group all the best for the future as it begins work on this project.
