Praising the COVID-19 Expertise of Professors Linda Bauld and Devi Sridhar

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the important work of Professors Linda Bauld and Devi Sridhar throughout the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that Prof Bauld regularly appears in the media in Scotland offering her informed views to the public, and Prof Sridhar is a member of the Scottish Government COVID-19 Advisory Group; believes that both professors have contributed immensely to the understanding of COVID-19 and to debates on public health mitigations; condemns any politician who engages in what it considers "Trumpian" tactics by attacking and seeking to call into question the professionalism of COVID-19 experts for party political or constitutional reasons, and thanks Prof Bauld and Prof Sridhar for their ongoing contributions to public health in Scotland.
