The motion

That the Parliament commends the Clyde Cruising Club for organising the flotilla that sailed down the Clyde on Monday 31 May in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), raising over £10,000 for the lifeboat charity; notes that Sir Boyd Tunnock, who has been a member of the sailing club for 50 years, led more than 200 vessels down the Clyde; understands that the flotilla departed from three muster points at Helensburgh, Kip Marina and Gourock, before Boyd led a salute to the RNLI at 2pm; congratulates all those involved in organising and participating in the flotilla, and believes this was a fitting tribute to RNLI’s volunteers and the invaluable services they provide across the UK and Ireland.
