Inverclyde Groups Recognised for Efforts During COVID-19 Pandemic
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Belville Community Garden Trust and Compassionate Inverclyde on being awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service; understands that the award was made in recognition of the work carried out by both organisations during the COVID-19 crisis; notes that the groups have supported the people of Inverclyde in a variety of ways since the pandemic began and are among a select band of charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups to be recognised; thanks all of the dedicated staff and volunteers who enable Belville Community Garden Trust and Compassionate Inverclyde to carry out their invaluable work to support the local community, and wishes both organisations all the best for the future as they continue to support people as we recover from COVID-19.
