Made By Sport’s #ClubsInCrisis Campaign

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement by the charity, Made By Sport, of £4 million of funding for grassroots sports clubs through its #ClubsInCrisis campaign; understands that sports clubs can apply for an unrestricted grant of £2021 to support their work in the local community; notes that this follows a survey carried out by the mental health charity, YoungMinds, which found that 83% of young people have been negatively impacted mentally by the COVID-19 pandemic; commends the charity’s organisers for this gesture; encourages local sports clubs to apply, and wishes both Made By Sport and all applying organisations the very best for the future.
