16-year-old Brynn Hauxwell Raises £1,287 for Ability Shetland
The motion
That the Parliament commends 16-year-old Brynn Hauxwell from Shetland for his achievement of completing 16 half-marathons and covering over 209 miles over the month of May 2021; understands that Brynn, a wheelchair user himself, has done this to raise money for Ability Shetland, a local charity that provides support for disabled people on the islands to engage in recreational sports and activities; notes that Brynn has raised £1,287, a figure well above his initial target of £500, and congratulates Brynn for this fantastic effort, wishing him the very best for the future.
