Citizens Advice Bureau Money Advice Matters Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of the Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau and the citizens advice network throughout Scotland; notes the impact of COVID-19 on the incomes and living costs of people across Scotland; supports the Money Advice Matters campaign running from 31 May to 11 June 2021 to raise awareness of the support available to those worried about bills and accumulating debts; applauds the staff and volunteers for their commitment to providing free, confidential and impartial advice; notes the important online tools available to provide information, manage budgets and learn about entitlement to Council Tax discounts, reductions and exemptions, and urges the Scottish Government to examine ways and means of providing extra funding and support to allow the network to cope with the extra demands being placed on the service.
