Possilpark People's Trust Secures £1.4 Million in Funding for New Community Centre

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Possilpark People's Trust on securing up to £1.4 million in funding from Glasgow City Council to deliver a brand new community hub building run by, and for, the local community; understands that the Trust has also been successful in receiving funding from the Scottish Government's Regeneration Capital Grant Fund and the Robertson Trust; welcomes that the new funding has addressed the project's funding gap and that it can now proceed to the first stage of construction; recognises the hard work of all involved, especially the Chair of the trust, Ann Lawrance, and business development officer, Tracy Donaldson, for their determined leadership in seeking to create a world-class community facility in the heart of Possilpark, and wishes all involved the very best as the project proceeds to the next stage.
