Aberdeen Cyrenians Awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the north-east based charity, Aberdeen Cyrenians, on being honoured with The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award that any voluntary group can receive in the UK; understands that this reflects the charity’s hard work and dedication in offering support for over 50 years to people affected by homelessness, abuse, mental illness, poverty and other forms of crisis in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; congratulates all the staff and volunteers on this achievement; thanks them for their exceptional work supporting vulnerable people, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, and wishes the group well for the future.
