Jedburgh-based Pegtog Eco Brick

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Pegtog Eco Brick Team in Jedburgh on using recycled plastic waste to create professionally finished bricks that can replace concrete and mortar; notes that the eco bricks have an interlocking feature, and have been compared to giant lego blocks that require no maintenance; understands that the eco bricks have been used to build outdoor planters, garden seating and tables, garden features, horse jumps and a playhouse; welcomes that the bricks can be recycled, are reusable, easy to use, lightweight, tough, durable and waterproof; wishes the team at Pegtog success with their innovative venture; hopes to see the Eco Bricks used widely across the region and Scotland, and congratulates the team on its work in addressing the climate emergency.
