3D Drumchapel Win Queen’s Award

The motion

That the Parliament notes that 3D Drumchapel has been recognised by receipt of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services, the highest award a voluntary group can receive; understands that 3D Drumchapel has been supporting local families and others from across Glasgow for 23 years; recognises that it aims to help parents develop resilience and coping strategies, while raising their children; further notes that services include parent and toddler activities, learning and development workshops, parenting programmes, pre/post birth support, baby massage, mum’s nights, home visits, support plans with children’s programmes and volunteer development, and acknowledges that a key focus of 3D work is to create an environment of support and nurture where all families are welcomed and can thrive.
