Too Many Marches
The motion
That the Parliament notes reports that there are three Orange or "Loyalist" marches planned in Glasgow on 1 July, and five on 3 July; considers that one of the aims of such marches may be to stir up hatred against Irish and/or Catholic people, and that it is likely that such hatred will be stirred up during the planned marches; encourages public and legal debate, as to whether such marches are racist and anti-Catholic, and considers that eight marches in three days is far too many and that, at the very least, the number should be reduced.
