Congratulating Adam Hough's 70-mile Fundraiser Run Around Sanday

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Adam Hough, from Sanday in Orkney, on his recent successful run around the 70-mile coastline of the island; understands that Adam completed this feat in an impressive 14 hours and 38 minutes; recognises that this fundraising effort has raised over £1200 for the local community school; notes that Adam is both a firefighter and an assistant manager at one of Sanday's local shops; further understands that Adam's training for this run has stretched over many months with a 100km completed in Sanday last year; thanks all those who have donated towards this worthy cause and supported Adam's achievement, including Bruce and Jaqueline Seator who provided Adam with invaluable advice on the ground conditions around the route, and looks forward to Adam completing similar loops of other Orkney islands in the years ahead.
