The motion
That the Parliament congratulates sport and fitness students at Ayrshire College, who have raised over £1500 for the Kris Boyd Charity, through their annual #PassingPositivity campaign; understands that the students held a number of events for the campaign to raise awareness of mental health, including a virtual team challenge to walk, run and cycle a total of 3,500 miles, the total distance between Kilmarnock in Scotland, where Ayrshire College has a campus, and Kilmarnock in Virginia, USA; notes that five students also reached a self-assigned challenge of completing a 100km of exercise each, between mid-April and mid-May; commends the students for their efforts to raise awareness of mental health, and the Kris Boyd Charity for its work, in collaboration with other charities, businesses and support groups, to deliver support to those dealing with mental health issues and to promote the value of good mental health, and wishes them continued success.
